SDB:Reset Dolphin Places panel

Jump to: navigation, search

When you need to do it

When you upgraded KDE, you might see strange icons or text in Places panel (left side in Dolphin window). This is because old place items are not updated to new default value of Dolphin.

For example, since some version, Dolphin removed "Last Week" and "Last Month" entries from default settings. New installation won't have these entries but your existing system will still keep it.

Another example, since some version, Dolphin used all symbolic icons for default left panel entries. But won't get these changes by updating.
